– PROGRAM OVERVIEW –
In 1965, a group of residents from Skamania and Klickitat Counties formed a committee for the purpose of developing a “Community Action Agency” to fight the War on Poverty. Washington Gorge Action Programs became that agency. Serving Skamania and Klickitat Counties, WAGAP is an organization dedicated to helping individuals, families, and communities address basic needs such as: food, shelter, utilities, etc.
WAGAP helps individuals and families by providing opportunities while supporting their efforts toward self-sufficiency. WAGAP helps communities by identifying needs and finding the resources to focus on them through partnerships with individuals, families, and communities.
